Migrant safe house in Oaxaca

I'm in El Salvador at the moment. Shooting assignment for for 3 NGO's.

I stayed at a safe-house in Mexico a few days ago, where migrants from Central America are given safe haven for a few days before their final clandestine push over the US border.   'nothing to lose' in their deep, dark eyes.

I went to many orphanages, where children of all ages are abandoned by their parents.  They are so withdrawn and consumed by low self esteem, as no one hugs them or tells them they are loved every day.  Broke my cold heart....

Just left Peru. I've been shooting for a local NGO and the projects they do in surrounding communities. Below are some b roll of volunteer/student lifestyles, who come to work on the projects... Off to Mexico to shoot their project site.

Just flew over Peruvian Andes. Dropping into Cusco shortly to shoot the plaza and prep for a clinic tomorrow, where I'm shooting some rural health care and education...

In Mexico city sipping jugo, waiting for a flight to Lima, Peru. I'm shooting for two weeks for a client in SF. Proworld is doing great work facilitating volunteer projects in developing countries. I'll be shooting/documenting the day to day work in Mexico, Belize and Peru. Conveying how gratifying it is to be in service of others....

The camera bag is loaded up with couple nikon bodies and Hasselblad.
Flash, travel gear. Light and fast with option for strobes to pop some environments.
